Tonic is partnering with an established medium-sized architecture studio with a fantastic reputation both for their quality of work and as an employer.
We are looking for a well-rounded Project Architect who has strong technical ability coupled with strong conceptual design skills. You will be skilful in managing a wide range of stakeholders and ideally will have delivered several schemes of various sizes.
You’d be joining a fantastic and stable business that tend to very well in times of uncertainty due to being on several government frameworks due to having a truly multi-disciplinary team of architects, urban designers and engineers. There is a highly sociable environment and regular celebrations for awards and achievements.
Architects within this practice are encouraged to work across varied projects both in terms of sector (typically education, residential, workplace and healthcare). Experience in the technical aspects of the architectural role our a must, so stage four examples will be needed to proceed with your application. The studio uses both AutoCAD & Revit, but this is not an essential requirement.
The practice highly prioritises work-life and employee wellbeing. The studio has a 35-hour working week, and overtime is paid in busy periods to all staff. We have attended a talk by the hiring manager last year who explained how they make sure projects are well resourced to ensure staff leave on time.
